The Museum of Making Music offers its visitors an interactive musical experience, exploring what has shaped American Popular Music since the 1890s. It is located near the Aqua Hedionda Lagoon, off the San Diego Freeway. The museum includes more than 500 vintage instruments, audio and video presentations, as well as an area where visitors can play a variety of instruments.
